Today we started off withthe logical fallacy quiz and peer-corrected them. Then we coppied 10 sentences off the boared and were supposed to find assumptions made in the sentence,

Today we started by going over the essay and arguments packet we had to read for homework, then sister Salma handed out a research paper handout and he discussed how to write a good thesis.
For homework do vocab ex 4, study for the logical fallacy quiz, create your own thesis for the research paper on any topic you choose and read and highlight the essays and arguments until 3.6.

Today class started off with a vocab test on lessons 23/24. Then we presented the remaining logical fallacy presentations. Sr. Salma explained the essays and argument book.
For homework do ex's 2/3 and read essays and argument (2.0 arguments : Some simple first principals) and annotate then do 2.6 and categorize the sentences of (ex1: recognizing the form of the simple argument)
Pygmalion, summaries, responses and analyses are due 4/13.

Today we started with the logical fallacy presentations but did not finish. Sr. Salma explained our homework on thesis statements off the worksheet she passed out.

Pygmalion was due today
Sister Salma explained that with every Act we must write a 200 word summary, 250 word response and choose a passage to analyze in relation to the theme How does language shape who we are?

2-Read "love is a fallacy": highlight each type of fallacy & example
Since Kareem was absent i covered for his scribe notes day. Today we took our spelling test. and then we took a workskeet on constructing arguments in which the students have to figure if the following sentences is an arguable or unarguable statement; for example: "Shakespeare died in 1616" this is an unarguable statement since this is a fact. And don't forget to get a copy of Pygmalion to class on Monday
