Scribe NOtes 5/8/09

Spelling Test # 29
Sentence Structure
HW: read Gould's "Women's Brain" (page 349) and answer the multiple choice question


First, we had out 29th spelling test. After correcting the test, we went over the practice AP multiple choice section. After doing that and calculating our scores, we went and reviewed sentence structures. For homework, read pages 349-354 and answer the multiple choice questions on the handout.

Today was a busy day. We first were given a student sample of the essay we wrote yesterday and we were asked to compare it to our own ones. Then after thtat, we went to page 893 and talked about the three main sentence structures. Then after that, we just quickly went over the homework from alst night. For homework, we have to just finish our vocab packet.

Today, we started right away with the timed write. For homewor, read pages 914-920 in your testbook and answer the multiple choice questions worksheet that was given to us.

Today, we had a vocab test for lessons 27 and 28. After that, we began on out vocab skills page on page 199. That is due on Friday. Then we were given another multiple choice practice test. For homework, finish exercises 1-3 in you vocab book and finish your COMPLETE rouch draft for your argument research paper.

First thing we did was turn to page 388 and reviewed out multiple choice questions from friday. After that, we started making our own questions for stem #11-15. For homework, continue those questions, study for your vocab test, and argument essay.
